1. How do I order?
The WhiteWall art market contains a wide selection of art works, all with jury guarantee. Using the SEARCH function, you can peruse WhiteWall artworks in accordance with your own search criteria. Alternately you can view the best works under CHARTS. You may order either a simple copy or a work already complete with presentation technique ready for wall hanging. Each artist has made a recommendation as to optimal presentation technique which is automatically indicated on viewing. You are, of course, free to change this and to choose an alternative printing technique. WhiteWall PhotoLab offers the opportunity to have your own works mounted or framed to museum quality. When ordering through PhotoLab, you decide on the materials used and the print and presentation technique. In both cases, you place your order online – and we deliver directly to you at home. It couldn’t be simpler!
2. Does WhiteWall offer a corporate client service?

3. How is payment made?
You may pay either by bank debit (restricted to accounts held in Germany) or by credit card. The amount will be charged to your account or your credit card immediately following receipt of your order, as each work is produced individually.
4. How long does it take until delivery?
Delivery is generally made within 2 to 3 weeks. Each work is produced individually to order.
5. What is the cost of dispatch?
6. How is the work shipped?
In the absence of any agreement to the contrary, delivery is made ex warehouse to the delivery address indicated by you. Any indication as to expected delivery date is subject to change, except where express agreement to the contrary has been made. Unfortunately we are unable to fix exact dates for delivery as works are made to order and are not held in a warehouse prior to that. Should you not be at home when delivery is made, the delivery company will leave a note for you to contact it directly and arrange a suitable time for you.
7. Do you also deliver abroad? What additional costs are there?
WhiteWall accepts orders to delivery addresses worldwide. Outside the EU, customs fees and import taxes must also be paid in addition to other costs. These vary from country to country.
8. Can I change the delivery address before delivery?
Should you want to change the delivery address indicated on order, please contact us using the WhiteWall Hotline or by e-mail at info@whitewall.com. If your order has already been dispatched, a change of delivery address is not possible.
9. What about the signature? Is the work signed by the artist or is the signature sent separately?
Each work purchased is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity sent in PDF format. The certificate confirms the work’s provenance and distinguishes it as an original WhiteWall production. The certificate also confirms the correctness of details with respect to the edition as well as documenting worldwide unrestricted application of such indications. Work title, year of conception, size and circulation are indicated. If the artist has deposited a signature with WhiteWall, this will be included on the authenticity certificate.
10. What if the work arrives damaged?
If on receipt of the delivery or on removal of packaging you notice damage to the work, please call the WhiteWall Hotline on +49 (0)30 30306930 or send an e-mail to info@whitewall.com. We will then be able to process a return.
11. Right of Return/Right of Revocation
To quote from our Terms & Conditions: You may revoke your intention to contract within 2 weeks without indication of reason, The revocation shall be made in text form (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail) or by return of the goods delivered. With respect to the determination of whether the 2 week revocation period is observed, the date of posting/sending of notice of revocation, alternatively, the date of return of the goods, shall be decisive. This right is restricted to 2 individual works per buyer per calendar quarter. Photographs with a freely selectable size (“variable size”), special print requests, framing, frame colour or mounting are, however, customised works for which a right of revocation shall be excluded. On account of their unprotected surfaces, unframed or unmounted copies and prints lose their first-hand status on opening and are thus not suitable for return.
12. What’s the quality of the materials used? Is there a guarantee?
WhiteWall provides the best quality materials for your works.
FUJI Crystal Paper, highly rated worldwide, guarantees exceptional colour stability and extraordinary long life. Independent tests carried out by Wilhelm Imaging Research in the USA have confirmed full colour stability at 500 Lux (full room brightness) for at least 40 years. Competing brands trail with 19 and 14 years stability respectively. Recently developed technologies for the avoidance of yellowing ensure better and more brilliant white tones – real photographic works at top quality.
Premium Art K3 Pigment Print combines state of the art pigment print technology (Epson 9800) with Hahnemühle brand papers. In order to ensure the highest possible print quality, printing is carried out at extremely high resolution, with the fine pixels capturing even the smallest of details. Expressive colours are ensured through use of Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks. Various colour gradations ensure an extraordinary breadth of tone. For the first time, black and white prints are possible in neutrally balanced greys. The particular colour stability of the Epsom Ultrachrome K3 inks – more than 50 years under normal conditions – has been confirmed by independent tests carried out by Wilhelm Imaging Research in the USA.
On account of its superb light and weather resistance, the UV Art Print procedure is perfect for larger formats and textile prints. The optimised pigment inks are odourless, environmentally friendly (solvent free/without ACC) and suitable for use both in and out of doors.
13. If I buy a photograph which has already been mounted, can I later have it removed from the aluminium plate or take off the protective film/acrylic glass?
A mounted photograph cannot be detached from its aluminium backing. The UV protective film, alternately the acrylic glass covering, can also not be removed. Nevertheless, should you wish to have the work framed, this is still possible. The aluminium plate and the photo’s protective cover are simply integrated into the frame.
14. How can I clean my picture?
You can remove dust from the work using an anti-static, soft and dry cloth. For works with Lumabond - and Lumasec – surfaces, do not use glass cleaning products! Avoid placing pressure on the surface when cleaning!
15. How do I determine the optimal framing and mounting for my work?
The right choice of frame or mount for a photograph is of utmost importance with respect to the general impact of the work. WhiteWall offers a wide range of alternatives here.
The passepartout frame is the classic form of picture frame. Motifs such as portraits, smaller landscapes and city shots, black and white photographs and smaller illustrations are perfectly suited to passepartout.
An especially noble choice of frame is the so-called shadow gap frame. This combines both classic and modern elements. The work is first mounted (and optionally sealed with acrylic glass) and then carefully positioned within a massive wood frame with a 7mm gap separating the work from the frame (the shadow gap). The value or objectivity of the graphic captured by the photograph is thus underlined.
WhiteWall is also exclusive provider of the Aluminium Art Box, available in two forms.
Type 1: The work is first set on to polytarp and given a silicon hem, before then being placed within a specially strengthened aluminium frame. The frame is available in matt.
Type 2: The work is given a LUMASEC mount and then set in the Aluminium Art Box. This gives an “under glass” effect, complete with fine aluminium frame.
Digital paintings, graphics, illustrations and modern photographic works are well suited to the industrial metallic character of the Aluminium Art Box.
For works with longest edge in excess of 80cm, the LUMABOND and LUMASEC finishes provide a highly modern alternative to traditional framing. First the photograph is mounted on to an aluminium plate and sealed with UV protective film (LUMABOND) or with acrylic glass (LUMASEC). Large landscapes, horizons, impressive skylines and sea views are particularly suited to this form of mounting. Thanks to the ridges and hooks cleverly positioned on the back, the images seem to hover freely on the wall. The result is a clear, modern and direct form of presentation.
WhiteWall also offers value for money UV Artprint as canvas with stretcher frame or polytarp with hemstitch.
The stretcher frames have an adhesive coating. For extra long life, the motif is sealed with a light protective varnish.
The canvas structure of the surface thereby adds to the end presentation of the image: the impression is generally softer and quainter.
UV Artpoint on polytarp with hemstitch is the presentation technique used for large art banners: The upper and lower edge of the work is folded over and sewn to form a hem. This forms the hollow seam through which a metal bar, tension rope or similar can be passed. This presentation technique allows the work to be used as a room partition, as decorative furniture or for advertising.
