About "Barnstorming the Moon"

WhiteWall, in collaboration with ASU’s School of Earth and Space Exploration, and NASA, are presenting images of the Moon at Photoville in New York. The exhibit, titled, “Barnstorming the Moon,” offers a unique perspective of the Moon as captured with NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC).

How the Prints Were Done

NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera takes impressively high-resolution pictures of the Moon. Since the photos are incredibly detailed, the first order of business was to make the Moon’s textures all visible and also to bring out the various gray values of the black & white images. The color prints are produced on glossy Kodak Pro Endura and sealed under original photo prints under acrylic glass, while the black and white photographs are direct prints on aluminum-dibond.
