What is special about metal prints? 

Metal pictures are available in direct printing or lamination on a 3 mm thick aluminum Dibond backing. Dibond aluminum consists of two thin layers of aluminum which encase a black polyethylene core. It is a particularly lightweight and discreet material that fits seamless into modern interiors. Direct printing on aluminum offers a matte effect on a non-reflective surface.

How can I create and order a photo print on metal? 

You can order your aluminum print online via the configuration tool. To submit your order, just transfer the photo you wish to enlarge to aluminum, then choose the type of print and paper, select the options from those available in the configuration tool and confirm your order. 

What options are available for my metal print?

For your photo print on metal, first choose between direct printing or laminated printing on Dibond aluminum. For direct printing, you can opt for a classic aluminum backing or brushed aluminum, which offers a shimmering effect to your design. For lamination, three branded papers are available or you can select an ultraHD print, which is perfect for prints that are rich in detail. Furthermore, you can enhance your aluminum print with a custom-made frame. You will find a wide choice of frames to bring out the colors of your metal print.

What are the production and delivery deadlines for a metal print?

For photo prints on metal, it will take about 7 days for production and delivery.

What sizes and formats are available for photo prints on metal? 

For your metal picture prints, WhiteWall offers you standard or made-to-measure formats, printed by the cm, to best respect the original dimensions of your photo. Depending on your design, choose a square format, 2:3, 3:4, DIN, panorama, etc. When printing your metal print, you can opt for a minimum size of 10 x 10 cm and a maximum size of 190 x 145 cm for direct printing, and 180 x 122 for laminated printing. Which motifs suit metal prints?

Aluminium suits a wide range of motifs. Direct printing gives a matte, non-reflective finish; brushed aluminium adds a subtle metallic sheen, well suited to urban and architectural images. For highly detailed images, laminated ultraHD printing is available. For black and white images, Ilford paper on Dibond aluminium is recommended.
