A hardcover gives your coffee table book an especially elegant look. We produce the cover from durable, 0.11 in. (3 mm) thick cardboard, printed according to your individual specifications. Three types of finishes are available: glossy for strong contrasts and vibrant colors, satin matt with a soft feel and authentic effect or printed linen for a unique, textile look and feel.

With six exquisite branded papers, the best qualities on the market are available to you for your coffee table book. To create a classic book cover, we use modern inkjet printing and elastic glue binding for high-quality inkjet papers. The innovative Fuji photo papers use a traditional photographic printing method. Here, a layflat binding reduces the fold to a minimum and is ideal for large-format photographs on double pages.

First impressions count – after the cover, the endpaper also shapes the impact of your coffee table book. It starts as soon as you open the book, even before you see the first photograph: the feel of fine materials and a color that perfectly accompanies your story.
That's why you now have even more options: in addition to classic white, 36 new colors are available. Whether subtle tones or striking contrasts—add creative accents and emphasize the visual language of your work.
For coffee table books printed using inkjet technology (1), we use open-pored uncoated paper with a 170 gsm. Optimized binding with an additional fillet strip improves the opening behavior and gives the book the classic look of high-quality art photo books.
For photo paper coffee table books (2), your desired color is exposed directly onto the inside of the cover. The white or black area on the left-hand side after opening corresponds in structure to the photo paper used – for a seamless transition from the cover to your images.
All coffee table books on inkjet paper include an elegant headband at no extra charge. We create the headband in white or black to match the selected color of the endpaper. Familiar from classic art books, the look will visually enhance your coffee table book. The headband covers the binding and reduces the gap between the binding and the spine. It also protects against dust and wear. A small detail that makes a major impact, underscoring the high quality of the product.

To help you design your photo book, we offer a wizard that creates automatic layout suggestions using your photos. This feature is available in both the online editor and the downloadable software. You can customize the layout afterward.
It takes 12 business days to produce and deliver the photo book.
Whether a matte or glossy finish is better for your photo book depends on your photos and personal preferences. Gloss enhances colors, contrasts, and details, making it particularly well-suited for landscape and architectural photos. Matte, on the other hand, creates softer transitions and makes portraits look great. However, glossy surfaces are significantly more prone to fingerprints.
The layflat binding minimizes the fold—which is why it's particularly well-suited for large-format images on double-page spreads.
In the online editor, you can save a preview of the photo book, share it, and create a shareable link with or without a watermark.
You can save the online and PDF versions of your photo books in your customer account under “My Photo Books.” Online photo books are stored for 90 days, and you can extend this period by opening them again. Photo books created using the downloadable software are stored locally and have no storage limit.
In the download software, you can select photo placeholders and save them as custom page layouts by clicking “Save Layout” in the ‘Arrange’ toolbox. These are stored in the main “Page Layouts” category with a green star and in “My Layouts.” Custom page layouts can only be used for single pages, not for double pages, and can be used for future WhiteWall photo book projects.
