Your learning success doesn't end with the workshop, as you'll always have access to your materials. And if you like, you can also join the WhatsApp group to ask questions—for instance, if you need quick help right before your trip or even on location—or you can post pictures and get feedback. All of this is constructive and appreciative, which is often not found in public groups and forums on the internet.
We'll start the workshop at the Globetrotter store, where you'll spend two hours of theory in the Club Hut. You'll learn in a clear and concise way how to quickly and easily take spectacular travel photos and discover which camera mode is right for you to elevate your photos and make more creative images.
In the subsequent three-hour practical session, we'll grab our cameras and immediately apply what we've learned on a photo walk through the city—with on-the-spot tips and feedback on the photos you take.
We'll be out during the best time of day for beautiful photos: the so-called Golden Hour, when the low, setting sun bathes the world in enchanting warm light that constantly changes its color. You'll be amazed by how many different possibilities this light offers, and you'll discover exciting facets of the Golden Hour that even seasoned photographers often don't know about.
The workshop takes place in any weather. If it rains, please bring an umbrella and appropriate clothing.
Due to the high interest from participants last year, we've extended the practical part from two to three hours this year, making the workshop a total of five hours. There will be a short break between the theory and practical sections. If an end time of 10 PM is too late for you, feel free to let us know at the beginning of the workshop, and you can shorten the practical part to any length and leave earlier.

Über Thomas Schenker
For his first trip right after graduating high school, Thomas quickly bought a small compact camera. It didn't survive the trip, but his passion for travel photography was born.
To capture his adventures and life in other countries in meaningful photos, he taught himself all aspects of travel photography. He knows the challenges of taking good pictures while traveling and now shares his knowledge in widely popular, practice-oriented photography workshops. Thanks to his pedagogical background, he has managed to design workshops where participants quickly achieve learning success.
Thomas still loves to travel the world and immerse himself in foreign cultures. In exciting live lectures at the Globetrotter Club Hut, he also shares stories of his adventures. Currently, he and his family of four are regularly traveling the Atlantic coast in a self-converted campervan.
